That’s No Galaxy Tab, That’s A Creator Laptop!
Samsung have done something new, releasing a laptop with some decent specifications for gaming, or content creation. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is an unusual 16″ in size, with a 2880 x 1880 screen powered by either an RTX 4050 or RTX 4070. The processor is a 13th generation Raptor Lake i7 or i9 of unspecified model, but certainly well paired with the GPU. They didn’t mention what drive was inside, but we can make a guess as to what breed it might be.
Along with the new laptop comes the Galaxy S23 Ultra, sporting a 200MP camera on the back and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy inside. We know it is a new Kyro chip, but Samsung were cagey about the specifications so we don’t know core count nor frequencies. The Ultra is 6.8″ in size, while the S23 and S23 Plus are both 6.6″ and the biggest difference we know between the latter two models is that the Plus contains a 4,700mAh battery while the basic S3 has a 3,900mAh inside.
Their rear cameras are also toned down a little, with 50MP, 12MP, and 10MP to be found on the back, while on the front is a 12MP selfie cam which is really good at lying. It seems the camera will be able to “pick out hair, eyes, and skin as discrete objects and beautify each accordingly“, making dating apps even more fun to deal with.
That’s about all The Register was able to glean from the release, though we will certainly know more soon.
